This apartment was originally part of a large mews house in South Kensington, with a spacious first floor room with restricted height above the garage.  We decided the way to add value was to subdivide the property and re-sell it as two separate apartments. In this particular one we demolished part of the first floor and we converted the garage into a grand double height living room. Mews houses are generally not protected even in prime conservation areas and offer plenty od scope for creative special dynamics. The project sold very successfully.
